For me, the book could use greater emphasis on modeling and Ruby, as some of the subtleties of rendering are not matched by the depth of modeling descriptions. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the book, found it to be extremely helpful, and read it in its entirety.
One person found this helpful. Good general read on SketchUp. As advanced and basic adjunct SketchUp Instructor, I like the book for the basics more so than the advanced aspect of the book. I do recommend it for beginners. Not boring like most informational books. It really helps you understand what sketchup has to offer. It also has really good visuals as well. Interesting selection of topics but covers no subject deep enough I just flipped through this book and realized there is nothing new to learn and I am not even a sketchup pro.

Obwohl ich bereits eingehend mit Sketchup gearbeitet hatte, interessierte mich das Buch, da ich vorher bereits diverse Videos des Autors gesehen hatte und auch seine Sketchup Extensions nutze.
Buch: Das Buch ist klar gegliedert und steigert schrittweise den Schwierigkeitsgrad. Er zeigt die Logik auf, jedoch dort wo es entscheidend ist, gibt er die Click-Reihenfolge an z.
Besonders widmet er sich dem Thema Handhabung von Daten innerhalb von Sketchup. Somit handelt das 3. Kapitel von Komponenten und deren Attributen. Das ist klassische redaktionelle Arbeit. Und ich habe interessante Dinge gefunden - per Shortcut. Rendering ist das Thema im 5. Und dies so, dass man auch mit seiner Render Engine, den davon gibt es viele, Nutzen daraus ziehen kann. Das ist das Thema des 6. Es werden die verschiedenen Verfahren des Rapid Prototypings mit ihren Besonderheiten dargestellt.
Das will ich lesen, denn das erspart mir viel Zeit und Abfall. Auch hier klare Systematik, gute Beispiele und sinnvolle Vertiefung.
